I grew up in the Milwaukie area most of my childhood. In 1992, I graduated from Milwaukie High School (Go Mustangs!), then joined the United States Army and left for boot camp about three weeks after graduation. I retired as a First Sergeant in the United States Army after 22 years of faithful service and traveling all over the world, then made my way home to the Milwaukie area to raise my teenager.

Upon returning home to Oregon, I quickly realized how difficult it was, not only for me, but for my fellow Veterans as well as trying to find both benefits and services that were available. I felt that I needed to bring about a change and build something to help our Veterans get access to these services and benefits. Out of that desire came Fort Kennedy, where it started in the basement of my home and in 2016 was officially granted 501(c)(3) status. Over the years, Fort Kennedy has become a community-based non-profit organization, helping Veterans access services and benefits that they need.

My passion is helping Veterans. In my free time, I ride my Harley Davidson and I am a two-step dance instructor.
